Exam Answer |
How do you describe your artistic style/perspective? How do you define success as an artist? What do you find most rewarding about being an artist? What are some of the most important skills you draw upon to create your work? What are some of the most significant things you've learned through art-making?
My artistic style is not realism and more so a messy attempt to express real life things with bold strokes. I like using a variety of colors to really draw the viewers eye and make them see something they never saw before. I define success as an artist as constantly improving what you want to improve. I donr need to be able to paint hyperrealism to be a good artist. I dont want to paint hyperrealism. That doesnt mean you should avoid it, as ir can provide insight to improve other areas of your art, but you dont need to be rhe best. What I find most rewarding is being able to self express and really convey the image thats in my head. Its very satisfying when your thoughts are successfully drawn out before you. One of the most important skills for me as an artist is colors as I use them to exaggerate my art. Another one is fluid, messy strokes to bring a sort of life to the piece.
Something important I've learned through art making is patience. Art takes a lot of time and while everything in life feels busy busy busy, art should not. To make something im satisfied with, I need to take my time.
